I have to be honest. I really did not get the job done. I am guilty of listening to the trumpets on the hill too much. That said, I accomplished many things this week and look to accomplish a few more in the next few days. I spoke to my future brother in law about turning 21 years old, micro-transactions, robots that can grow beards and learning to fight together as brothers. I rehearsed music and wore shorts every single day to work. I listened to a lot of Frank Sinatra’s bossa nova hits. I wrote a lot of screenplay and think I may have enticed someone on a pitch. I had great thoughts of directing it. I saw The Morning Benders play on a patio for about 40 people. The looked really young. I felt old. Could not stop listening to “Figures” by Little Comets and “Broken Songs” by Jim Ward (featuring Tegan and Sara). Started to get excited about Dodger season. Ran a record low amount of miles and ran the fireplace at home only once. Saw my first weeknight 2am in months and fell in love with the witching hour again.
I am going to San Diego to play a show this weekend. If you are able to, I would love for you to join me. I will be at the Ruby Room tomorrow, Saturday by 9pm and after, only the wind knows.
If you aren’t there, my best to you and I am excited about lots to share next week.
